BIO -
Nashville-based artist Talon David stands as the sole writer, producer, and audio engineer behind her entire catalog. Her career earned immediate validation when she won a nationwide GRAMMY Foundation songwriting contest at seventeen for her track "Deep Snow." For her fourth album, The Villain, she maintains full control over every frequency, balancing dark pop narratives with painstaking technical execution in her home studio. Written primarily while living in the United Kingdom, the project represents the first act of a double album called Collected Works of Melodrama. Talon draws on her background as a trained actress, including work on Bridgerton and progressive rock operas, to treat her songs like theater. The result is a self-engineered release that mixes heavy electronic beats with neo-soul groove and hundreds of vocal layers, proving that an independent creator can build a massive sonic world without outside help.
